Welcome to best book's stop on this tour.

Lynda's books can be classified as urban fantasy/dark fantasy with romance, suspense/mystery, satire, horror, humor and sex.

Her series, Kismet Knight, Vampire Psychologist is being rewritten and will be republished by Quercus Books in the UK and Europe, and by Sterling Publishing/Silver Oak in North America. The UK version of the first book in the series, "The Vampire Shrink" will be published September, 2011. The North American version a few months later. Synopsis
A sizzlingly sexy urban fantasy sure to feed the hunger of ravenous, vampire-loving fans.
Kismet Knight, a brainy Denver-based psychologist with a stalled career and a nonexistent love life, is about to have her world rocked. Not only does her newest patient, Midnight, long to become a vampire, but the teenager insists that a coven of the undead hangs out at a local goth club. The always-rational Kismet dismisses Midnight's claims as the delusions of an attention-starved girl—until bodies start turning up drained of blood and the hottest self-proclaimed vampire ever to walk the face of the earth enters her office.
What's real? What's not? As inexplicable events and romantic opportunities pile up, along with the corpses, Kismet finds herself in a whirlwind of passion, mystery, and danger. But this tough and funny heroine—who doesn't do damsel in distress—is about to turn the vampire-meets-girl convention on its head.

Synopsis
Blood Therapy is a dark contemporary fantasy with humor, mystery, romance and adult situations.
Kismet Knight knows exactly how to handle her clients, but when it comes to her love-life, she's on less steady ground. That was until she met master vampire Devereux, an 800-year-old hunk, who not only managed to convince the entirely rational shrink that vampires really do exist - he also persuaded her to start dating him.
Kismet's still having nightmares after being kidnapped by Lucifer, a psychotic vampire. From a therapeutic perspective she finds his split personalities fascinating - but she's constantly terrified. And Dev's become obsessed with finding Lucifer - before he comes after Kismet again.
So much for her nice, ordinary life...

Slated by Teri Terry. ~review by alice

Slated (Slated, #1)Slated by Teri Terry
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

when i first started this book, i nearly put it down a couple of times, i felt it was very slow to start with and i was confused as to what was going on, i felt like I had been slated. once the book got going after 100+ pages i finally started to enjoy it. i did enjoy the writing style, it was very fresh to read.
the main character kayla i really enjoyed reading about her and her dreams (visions)
ben one of the other main characters was really intriguing to read, kayla felt like she knew him, but that was impossible, right? the ending with ben damn near tore my heart out, i hope the 2nd book brings more answers.
after getting into this book i ended up throughly enjoying it and had trouble putting it down, and im now anxiously awaiting for the 2nd book in the series to be released so i can read it.

this book is for anyone who loves dystopian type books.
cant wait to see what happens next and also what this author writes in the future

Hidden by Marianne Curley. ~review by alice

Hidden (Avena, #1)Hidden by Marianne Curley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Man oh man this book was AMAZING!!!
Ive only ever read Old magic by this author and while I absolutely loved that book, this one definitely takes top spot.
Read it in one sitting, couldn’t put it down at all.
This story follows ebony on her journey to find out who she is. Along the way there is heartbreak and joy.
I love the way the author writes, makes you feel as tho you are there living ebony’s journey with her.
Ebony really is a kick ass character, she is selfless, putting others before herself to save them.
Nathaneal is a hottie, he was really intriguing to read about. He has spent his life searching for ebony, even tho I figured out who she was to him near the beginning, it was amazing to watch everything grow between the two of them.
Jordan, poor poor Jordan, he has really had a crap life. When he meets ebony, he hits a brick wall, literally lol. Hes a total swoonworthy character, love what he feels for ebony even if it isn’t what she feels for him, he puts her first, well I thought he did until that ending, man now I need the 2nd one to see what he does. I really hope he doesn’t do what he promised the bad dude.

If you love this authors work or if you love books about angels then I definitely recommend getting this book.

Dance Of Shadows by Yelena Black. ~review by alice

Dance of Shadows (Dance of Shadows, #1)Dance of Shadows by Yelena Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

thanks to the reading room for giving me this book in exchange for an honest review.

WOW this book was amazing. i loved the writing style of this book, was so lyrical and wonderful to read that i read it in one sitting.
vanessa goes to the New YOrk Ballet Academy to search for answers to her sisters disapearance. while there she meets some wonderful friends and a couple of swoonworthy guys, while in the beginning i didnt trust either Zep or Justin, you just knew one of them was up to something, it wasnt until the end of the book where the truth was revealed about the dance The Firebird that you find out who is good and who is bad.
while this book doesnt end in a cliffhanger, it leaves you wanting some questions answered, i cannot wait to read the 2nd book and continue vanessa's journey.

highly recomend this book to everyone that loves YA paranormal.

Knight's Curse & Darkest Knight by Karen Duvall ~review by alice

Knight's Curse (Knight's Curse #1)Knight's Curse by Karen Duvall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

thanks to harlequin for giving me this book in exchange for an honest review

wow this book was wicked, it had me hooked from page one, even tho it was a bit slow to start with, i really enjoyed the character and world building.

chalice is a kick ass heroine character. loved watching her grow from the first chapter where shes a headstrong 13year old til the end when she is even more headstrong 25year old.

gavin the evil sorcerer is really evil, he is the kind of evil that makes you want to cower in the corner and pray to be rescued. thankfully chalice never does that, she gives as good as she gets with gavin.

Aydin is totally swoonworthy, he has his own powers and they really do come in handy in this book.

the ending of this book totally blew me away, wasnt expecting it at all, and im so glad i have book 2 to read straight away so i know what happens next.

Really enjoyed the writing style of this book, it was just perfect with descriptions of things, never going overboard.

if you like books with gargoyles, angels and other supernatural things then this book is definitly for you.
cant wait to see what the author writes next :)

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

thank you harlequin for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review

SPOILER ALERT!!!! DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE READ KNIGHT'S CURSE

this book takes place one month after the ending of knight's curse. Aydin is a gargoyle, and now that Chalice is no longer bound to a gargoyle she has finally been able to meet her guardian angel Rafe. he is totally swoonworthy, wouldnt mind him being my guardian angel ;)
this book is all about chalice finding her fellow sisters and helping them to protect themselves from an unseen force that is killing them. when things get out of control chalice with the help of aydin and her father go in search of the killer.
this book was even better than the first one. it had so many twists and turns that i simply couldnt put it down.
even tho this book ended fine and it could be the end of the series, i really hope its not, i want to read more about the characters, its the kind of series you dont want to end, and when it does you want to cry.

highly recomend this series to everyone that loves paranormal :)

when i first read the blurb for this book i was so excited, it sounded really good, havent read many books about reapers so i thought this one would be awesome. it definitly was awesome but was slow to start with.
the story follows molly who after something happens at her 16th birthday, her life is turned upside down and shes shipped off to Nekyia Academy to help her learn her powers, there she meets gouls, necromancers and other reapers.
while there she also learns a big thing that will change who she is, for the better i hope.

the writing style of this book was so easy to read, i expecially enjoyed reading her journal entries.

cant wait to read the 2nd book expecially after what happens in the last paragrapgh of this book.

Luck of the devil by Patricia Eimer ~review by alice

Luck of the Devil (Speak of the Devil #1)Luck of the Devil by Patricia Eimer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

recieved this book in exchange for an honest review

this book had me hooked from page one. it was a laugh out loud book and im sure people looked at me funny more than once.
the characters are all memorable and there is one part where i want to scour if from my memory, involves the parents and a couch ~shudder~

faith is the youngest daughter of the devil, she wants to live a normal mortal life, has a crush on her hunky lawyer neighbor matt. everyone knows who/what matt is except for her and when she finds out the sparks fly, sexual sparks that is.

i loved the way this book was written, throw in the devil, humans, a succubus, angels and you get one wickedly good book, throw in stalkers, ghosts and its a serious plus LOL book.

cannot WAIT to read the next one.
highly recomend this book to anyone who loves paranormal thats serious but not too serious and has alot of laugh out loud moments :)

the 5 stars is purely for haunted by gena showalter

possessed by P.C Cast
i read 50 pages of this story which is almost half the book considering its only 117pages long but i just could not get into it. the writing style i just didnt like, couldnt get into the characters at all so i gave up.

Haunted by gena showalter
5 stars for this story. ive always loved gena's writing style and this book was no exception. the descriptions make you feel as if you are there. the characters are always loveable and fun to read, even when its a serious book like this was. this story made me laugh and boy did it make me cry, it had one hell of a twist to it that i never saw coming and when it was revealed i cried like a baby. my only con for this book, it was tooo short.

if you are a fan of gena showalter i definitly recomend this book. even if you like p c cast then read it too, its only my opinion on her story afterall :)

What's it about?

The second installment in Kristen Simmons's fast-paced, gripping YA dystopian series.

After faking their deaths to escape from prison, Ember Miller and Chase Jennings have only one goal: to lay low until the Federal Bureau of Reformation forgets they ever existed.

Near-celebrities now for the increasingly sensationalized tales of their struggles with the government, Ember and Chase are recognized and taken in by the Resistance—an underground organization working to systematically take down the government. At headquarters, all eyes are on the sniper, an anonymous assassin taking out FBR soldiers one by one. Rumors are flying about the sniper’s true identity, and Ember and Chase welcome the diversion….

Until the government posts its most-wanted list, and their number one suspect is Ember herself.

Orders are shoot to kill, and soldiers are cleared to fire on suspicion alone. Suddenly Ember can’t even step onto the street without fear of being recognized, and “laying low” is a joke. Even members of the Resistance are starting to look at her sideways.

With Chase urging her to run, Ember must decide: Go into hiding…or fight back?

My Review

Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review

This book picks up where article 5 ends.  The struggles that goes on in this book, that test human endurance is simply amazing, and makes me think what I would do in this situation, and I don’t know what I would do.

I loved watching the character grow in this book, chase is still very swoon worthy..
I wont say much cus if you haven’t read article 5 I don’t want to ruin it.  But I will say that I love how the author draws you in completely with the style of writing and the heart stopping action.  And the ending just makes you NEED the 3rd book now.
Cant wait to see what happens next in this series
